Hey, I’m Lindsey

I am privileged to serve as the Nurse Practitioner at Birth N’ Beyond. Where I have the opportunity to make a difference in my hometown of Elmira.
From a young age, I dreamed of a career in nursing, my journey has taken me through Michigan State University, earning a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Followed by The University of Rochester for my Bachelor’s in Nursing. My passion for women’s health led me to dedicate a decade to the field before pursuing my Master’s at Binghamton University in 2022, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
My mission is to empower women, offer comfort during challenging times, and collaborate in finding holistic solutions. In my personal life, I am happily married and the mother of two wonderful children. I value and prioritize quality, intentional time with my family.

A mother of four and proud grandmother of five, my journey in nursing began in 1992 as a certified nurse assistant, igniting a path toward my dreams. Over the years, I steadily advanced, achieving my registered nurse status in 2007 and becoming a certified nurse midwife in 2019. Embracing this role, I've found fulfillment in serving women within a cherished private practice.
Being a midwife is an honor, allowing me to support the women in my community who seek midwifery care. With this privilege comes a continuous commitment to updating my skills and knowledge, ensuring that I provide the best care possible.
I firmly believe that serving you means empowering you to take an active role in your own care. By fostering trust, open communication, and personalized attention, I strive to ensure that you are well-informed and engaged in every decision regarding your health journey.
Hey, I’m Glenda

I am a Colorado native where I lived for 37 years prior to moving to the beautiful Finger Lakes area of New York. I am a mother of 3 sons and have 3 wonderful grandchildren.
I’ve had a passion for Womans healthcare since I started my journey as a nurse in 1997, falling in love with childbirth from my first clinical rotation. I worked as a labor and delivery nurse at my community hospital for 14 years, then did travel labor and delivery nursing for 3 years, while working towards my Masters Degree in Midwifery.
Being a midwife is one of the greatest pleasures I have ever had. Serving women and assisting them to make informed decisions about their health, pregnancies, and delivery is truly an honor. Being able to serve a community with a diverse population is amazing. Having the ability to encourage and strengthen women in their journey throughout life, by giving kind and compassionate healthcare is what Midwifery means to me.
I’ve been a Certified Nurse Midwife for 9 years, with my experience ranging from working for a large hospital practice that employed 8 midwives and 15 physicians, to doing home birth with a group of 3 midwives, for one of the only Certified Nurse Midwife home birth practices in Colorado. Now I have the privilege of working for Birth N Beyond, a midwife ran private practice that supports my journey as a midwife to promote physiological birth, with the least interventions as possible. Having a supporting over seeing physician, whom is a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist, also allows me midwifery care for those women with higher risk pregnancies allowing them to have greater choices for care.
I currently hold a Masters Degree of Nursing of Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University, where the beliefs and traditions as the 2 nd oldest midwifery school in the United States has given me the knowledge, the compassion, and the strength to serve women throughout their life span. For there is no greater power than the power to serve those whom place faith and trust in a Midwife for into these hands bring life.
